Uiterlijk van de plant: De Zamioculcas Zamiifolia, ook wel ZZ-plant genoemd, heeft glanzende, donkergroene, leerachtige bladeren die in een symmetrische vorm groeien. De bladeren zijn ovaal en groeien in een opwaartse spiraal vanaf dikke stelen. De plant staat bekend om zijn weelderige uitstraling en robuuste structuur. Hoewel de plant zelden bloeit, kan hij soms onopvallende, kleine bloemen produceren aan de basis van de stelen.

Standplaats: Deze plant kan op verschillende plekken binnen het huis worden geplaatst. Hij verdraagt zowel schaduwrijke als lichte locaties, maar vermijd direct zonlicht, omdat dit de bladeren kan verbranden.

Waterbehoefte: De Zamioculcas Zamiifolia heeft weinig water nodig. Laat de potgrond uitdrogen tussen de gietbeurten door. Meestal volstaat het om eens per twee tot vier weken water te geven, afhankelijk van de omgeving.
